We are storytellers. We tell stories from the margins, both nearby and those of more distant lands. Through thorough observation, original images, thoughtfully written words, and deep reflection we aim to revive that older, slower way of storytelling.
Story Smugglers is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2023 and registered in Lithuania.
In 2025 we implemented our first storytelling project, through which we introduce Lithuanian audiences, especially in the regions, to the realities of Western Sahara through photography and live encounters.
In 2025 we also published a translated collection of contemporary Palestinian poetry titled The Sounds of an Olive Tree (Alyvmedžio garsai), the first-ever of its kind not only in Lithuania but also in the Baltic States.
